Robin Saddler is a wife and mother of two boys. She is former Human Resources at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. Robin’s mother is a 16 year breast cancer Survivor/Thriver. With her family history, Robin is very concerned about finding a cure for this all too common disease and focused on early detection and self-exams. Her mother’s breast cancer was found through a self-exam and not initially spotted on a yearly Mammogram. Robin has participated in various Susan Komen races and events since her mother’s diagnosis in 1999.Robin has been a Neighborhood Captain for the BCC Rally Pink Bow campaign for 2 years and joined the Board of BCC Rally in 2016. She is honored to be President in 2017 and to help fulfill the mission of BCC Rally.
Carol Aaron is wife, mother, philanthropist and community activist. She is married to Nelson for 36 years and counting and she is the mother to three great kids and one adorable yorkie-poo named Jersey. Carol has lived in New York, New Jersey, and Hong Kong but Charlotte has been her home for the past 13 years. Carol was introduced to the pink bows back in 2007 when a neighbor tied a piece of tulle on her mailbox as a symbol of breast cancer awareness. The following year she offered to “pink up” Ballantyne neighborhoods. Since 2008, Carol has continued her commitment to lead and grow the Pink Bow campaign in communities, schools and businesses in Charlotte and beyond. Carol officially joined the board of BCC Rally in 2012 and she is proud to see the Pink Bow campaign flourish as BCC Rally’s signature outreach program to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
Jacqueline has been part of BCC Rally since 2008, and has served as board secretary for the last four years. As team leader for the publicity committee, she enjoys working on the Pinked In newsletter. Jacque and her husband Terry, married in 1982, and have three great children. They have lived in Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, Seattle, and now Charlotte. In each city, wonderful people and experiences have enriched their lives. Jacqueline graduated from Temple University (BSW) and then University of Cincinnati with a Masters of Social Work degree. Her professional work experiences include employment and training for teens and adults, family services, administration, and even employee assistance for the military. Rewarding volunteer commitments include leadership positions with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. “BCC Rally’s financial support significantly impacts breast cancer outcomes in our community. Hearing stories from the men and women dealing with this disease or conducting research to end it motivates me to stay involved.”
Kristin White is Vice President, Senior Business Controls Specialist, at Bank of America. She has been with the Bank for 18 years and her areas of expertise include change and project management, finance, training and development. Kristin is currently studying Organizational Communications at Wingate University. Kristin and her husband David have been married for 5 years and she has two wonderful stepchildren. They enjoy traveling, exercising, gardening, and attending social events with great friends at BCC. Kristin has been involved with BCC Rally for 3 years with focus on procurement and organization of swag bags for luncheon attendees. She also assists with various Pink Bow events. She has leveraged and identified additional corporate donations through employee matching and charitable contribution programs. Kristin is thrilled to join the Board of BCC Rally in 2017, especially during this exciting time of transition and growth.
Natalie Corrigan has over 20 years experience as a CPA in public accounting and industry and she currently consults on a part time basis with several businesses in the finance and income tax areas. She has an Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from UNCC. She spends her time volunteering with BCC Rally, the Girl Scouts, a local food bank and at her children’s schools. Natalie, her husband, Tim, and their two children enjoy college basketball and football, traveling, tennis and the theater. Natalie is a two-time breast cancer survivor and has several family members and close friends who have also had the disease more than once. She hopes that funds raised through BCC Rally will assist in finding a cure in the very near future. She began her relationship with BCC Rally in 2009 by volunteering at several events and became the Treasurer in 2011. Natalie also assists with auction and coordinates a neighborhood pink bow campaign.
Sally Weigler Golden, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, moved to Charlotte in 2009. She worked in television and radio in marketing, advertising and sales for 25 years. Upon completing a marketing project at the CBS affiliate, KDKA TV, for the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), she became the Director of Cause Related Marketing and Major Gifts Officer for over 6 years. Her fundraising focused on events, individual donors and cause marketing projects which supported cancer research and clinical care. Also, Sally was a volunteer with Susan G Komen in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. Sally has been involved with BCC Rally since 2010 where she has been raising awareness through tv and radio interviews. She is passionate about this organization because of her mother’s long struggle with the disease and ultimate death and her own diagnosis and that of many friends. Sally and Tom have been married for 23 years and have one son, Bryan. Sally is looking forward to working with the dynamic BCC Rally board and volunteers to continue the fight against breast cancer.
Dr. Maureen Andreassi
Dr. Maureen Andreassi is from Nyack, NY and moved to North Carolina for an Internal Medicine Residency at UNC Chapel Hill in 1994. During her residency, she met her husband, Michael Blocker, and since that time, they have loved living in North Carolina. They have 2 daughters, aged 16 and 18. Maureen has been an Internist with Novant Medical Group since 2014. She enjoys golfing, reading, traveling and listening to a wide variety of music. Shortly after her diagnosis of breast cancer in 2015, a neighbor secretly arranged for a “pink out” at her home. Maureen was very surprised to come home one day to see 80 pink bows beautifully displayed on her house. At that moment, she understood how much of a positive and powerful impact the BCC Rally has on our entire community. In 2016, she developed new pink bow partners and procured multiple auction donations for Rally. Maureen is very excited to join the Board in 2017 and she plans to continue her efforts to impact the lives of women in the Charlotte region in a creative and meaningful manner.
Marcia Myers Gainer
Marcia Myers Gainer is an attorney specializing in areas of business, health care practice and corporate compliance. Marcia is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and The Ohio State University College of Law. She has been actively involved in the Charlotte community, co-chairing fundraising initiatives on behalf of a variety of worthy local causes. Marcia has been honored to serve as BCC Rally board President during the 2015 and 2016 BCC Rally campaigns and has been passionately involved in BCC Rally in various leadership capacities since 2010. Marcia is proud to join BCC Rally’s dedicated volunteers, committed business partners and steadfast friends who continue to make our mission possible.
Maura McCarthy-Sanborn is the sole proprietor of Green Oaks LLC, providing business consulting and professional life coaching services. She is also a motivational speaker with emphasis on rising up through adversity and living an authentic life. She is a graduate of Villanova University School of Business with additional background in finance, accounting, management and recruiting. Maura is a proud mother of 3 children and a breast and thyroid cancer survivor. She is an active participant in several running & community events to raise funds and awareness for cancer.
In her 2 years on the Board of BCC Rally, Maura was the Events Leadership Team Liaison and a spokesperson for Publicity and Media segments. She has been an integral part of Pink Bow campaign for the last 5 years and believes whole
